Typhoon Haiyan is currently affecting the Philippines and is forecast to head across the East Sea and make landfall with Vietnam on Sunday, 10th November. It is expected to bring rough seas, strong winds and heavy rains to the coastal areas of central Vietnam (including Danang, Hue and Hoi An). Due to its strength, it is currently characterised as a Super Typhoon.
Several hotels in Hoi An and Danang have already advised that they will move their clients. Airlines may also cancel flights in and out of Hue and Danang over the next few days.
As a precautionary measure, we are moving all our clients out of central Vietnam.
Our Vietnam office is in the process of contacting all clients in the area and making arrangments for their travel out of central Vietnam as well as contacting those clients who are scheduled to arrive in this area.
